Job summary

U.S. Army MWR Fort Drum Child Development Center is seeking a childcare professional to deliver learning experiences across early childhood domains. You will guide children using The Creative Curriculum, foster growth, and maintain documentation while adhering to DoD and Army policies.

Training and IDP tracking are required. Applicants should have CDA or equivalent credential and either 18 months of group care experience, or entry-level qualifications with related degrees.

Qualifications

• Resumes must be two pages (or less) and clearly show relevant experience.
• Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Subject to pre-employment checks including E-Verify.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a health assessment.
• Proof of education is required at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning experiences in language, literacy, math, science, and more using The Creative Curriculum.
• Motivate children and evaluate their academic and social growth; maintain records.
• Provide supervision and accountability for children per DoD, Army, and local policies.
• Implement parental involvement and encourage communication and participation.
• Complete designated training and track training in your IDP.

Education

CDA or Military School-Age Credential

AA degree in early childhood education or child development

BA/BS degree in education/child development or related field
