The role emphasizes collaboration with teaching staff, developmentally appropriate care, observations, and family communication.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education or related coursework, with at least 3 credits in child growth and development, plus 6 months of experience in an early childhood program.
• 3 credits in child growth and development with 1 year of experience in an early childhood program.
• Meet NH CCLU Associate Teacher requirements per He-C4002.
• Obtaining NH Early Childhood PD credential after first 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the classroom environment and implement age-appropriate curriculum.
• Be responsive to children, balancing individual and group needs.
• Provide an inclusive classroom reflecting ongoing learning and growth.
• Assist with observations and developmental evaluations.
• Support classroom management and safety per NH CCLU and NAEYC standards.
• Maintain respectful relationships with parents and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate cultural competency and incorporate family values into the program.
• Complete daily health checks.
• Support children with varying development using appropriate interventions.
• Follow NH CCLU, NAEYC, and program policies.
• Participate in staff development and trainings.
