The role involves supporting classrooms and operations, aligning with NH CCLU and NAEYC standards, and working closely with teaching staff to foster children’s development. The position offers 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $17.50–$19/hour, plus a $1,000 new hire sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education or related coursework, with at least 3 in growth and development, plus 6 months of experience in an ECE program.
• Or 3 credits in growth and development with 1 year of experience in an ECE program.
• Ability to meet NH CCLU He-C4002 requirements and obtain NH ECD credential after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom environment and implement age-appropriate curriculum with teaching staff.
• Assist with daily care routines, adapt activities to individual and group needs.
• Maintain developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed classroom environment in line with NH CCLU and NAEYC standards.
• Support health checks, safety, and well-being of children; uphold supervision responsibilities.

If you're looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact on children and families while growing your career in a collaborative and supportive setting, we'd love to hear from you.**We are seeking Early Childhood Program Assistants to join our new center in Londonderry with an anticipated start date in December 2026.** The **Early Childhood Program Assistant** is an active member of the childcare center and partners with Early Childhood Teaching Staff on the academic, and social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care. Program Assistants will provide support to classrooms and center operations, in alignment with Program, NH Child Care Licensing Unit (NH CCLU), and NAEYC standards and regulations. Responsibilities include:* Actively partner with Early Childhood Teaching Teams to actively support the classroom environment while assisting with the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their early education.* Be responsive to all children by adapting daily care routines and strategies, balancing the individual and group interests and/or needs of the children.* Provide a developmentally appropriate and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the children’s ongoing learning and growth.* Assist with on-going observations and developmental evaluations while following curriculum implementation that addresses the individual needs of each child.* Partner with Early Childhood Teaching Teams on overall classroom management to include, but is not limited to: (a) Contribute to the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child. (b) Ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed care aligned environments for all children in conjunction with NH Child Care Licensing Unit (NH CCLU) rules and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation Standards. (c) Promote and model developmentally appropriate communication, hygiene, behavior, and nutrition. (d) Assist with daily and weekly maintenance, sterilization of materials, or cleaning to operate a clean, safe, and well-equipped classroom.(e) Support children during challenging behaviors using positive guidance, developmentally appropriate redirection, and proactive social-emotional strategies. (f) Take responsibility for appropriate child supervision, circle times, small groups and individual work as needed.* Assist in maintaining respectful and supportive individual relationships with parents and prospective parents through effective communication in person, via ProCare messaging, and program outreach materials or newsletters, etc.* Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the child's background by incorporating the cultural, linguistic and familial values and beliefs into the program and lesson plans.* Complete daily health checks regarding hygiene, safety, and overall well-being of the children.* Support children of varying development using varying appropriate and respectful interventions* Adhere to all NH CCLU, NAEYC, Program, and Agency policies and procedures.* Participate in ongoing staff development, in-services, trainings, and additional meetings as required.**Qualifications:*** A minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education or related coursework, awarded by an accredited college or university, with at least 3 credits in child or human growth and development, plus 6 months of experience in an early childhood education program OR* 3 credits in child or human growth and development from an accredited college or university, with 1 year of experience in an early childhood education program* The ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing Unit’s requirements for ‘Associate Teacher’ per NH CCLU He-C4002, required* Obtaining and maintaining New Hampshire Early Childhood Professional Development credential (per NH Licensing Requirements) is required after the first 6 months of employment* Written and verbal communication skills* Organization and time management skills* Certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED required* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation**Compensation** $17.50 - $19 hourly, based upon experience and education.*Sign On Bonus is paid at 3 and 6 months of continued full-time employment - the bonus is subject to all taxes, deductions and voluntary deductions elected.***Hours:** Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
