Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Preparatory seeks an Adjunct Early Childhood Music teacher for its Early Childhood Music Department in Baltimore, MD. The successful candidate will provide group-based music instruction to children birth to 5 years and their families, with onboarding training in the program.

Start date is October 2026. This role involves teaching at the Park School location, with summer and Saturday options, and potential opportunities at other campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music, music education, and/or early childhood education is required.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience and training preferred.
• Experience teaching young children birth to 5 years.
• Excellent musicianship and ability to teach across melodies and meters.
• Background in early childhood music is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach group music classes at Park School location during summer (up to 3 per campus).
• Offer classes on Saturdays and possible weekday mornings.
• During the academic year, teach up to 4 Saturday morning classes and possible weekday sessions.
• Potential opportunities at other campus locations depending on availability.
