Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida, Inc. is seeking a Mentor Coach to provide on-site coaching for Head Start teachers and assistants in a Monday–Friday schedule.

The role emphasizes classroom observations, feedback, and data-driven coaching to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness outcomes. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and relevant certifications, plus experience in preschool settings and supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Two years of teaching preschool or kindergarten experience required.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start preferred.
• Experience with data-informed coaching and staff training preferred.
• Must have knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching for Head Start teachers and assistants.
• Conduct classroom observations and demonstrations with feedback.
• Analyze child outcomes data to improve teacher-child interactions.
• Develop and update classroom programs and procedures for instruction.
• Deliver staff trainings and professional development based on data.
