Apple Tree Learning Centers in Chesapeake, VA seeks an experienced Assistant Child Care Director to join our leadership team. This full-time role offers a salary range of $42,000–$50,000 (BOE) with benefits.

You will support the Center Director in daily operations across infant, preschool, and school-age programs. The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of child care leadership, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong supervision and communication skills to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years in child care, preschool, or admin roles with supervisory experience.
• CPR, First Aid, Virginia Pre-Service Training, and MAT Training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Center Director with daily operation of the center and staff scheduling.
• Lead, coach, and support teachers and child care staff; hire, onboard, train, and develop staff.
• Maintain VDSS licensing compliance and safety procedures; oversee infant to school-age programs.
