Apple Tree Learning Centers seeks an experienced Assistant Child Care Director for our Chesapeake Greenbrier location. This full-time role offers a salary range of $42,000–$50,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 2 years in child care, preschool, early childhood education, or child care administration, preferably in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, School-Age, and Summer Camp programs.
• Monitor classroom quality, curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Conduct observations and provide coaching to teachers.
• Ensure staff follow licensing, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with staff scheduling, payroll documentation, enrollment, and program information.
• Support Center Director in achieving operational, educational, and organizational goals.
