Job Title: Montessori Early Childhood Lead Teacher
Location: Small World Montessori, 12810 35th Ave SE, Everett, WA 98208
Employment Type: Full-Time, 8:30-3:30 Monday-Friday
Start Date: August 25, 2025
Salary Range: $2800-$3700 per month over 12 months (salary based on experience)

We serve children aged 3-6 and are committed to the authentic implementation of the Montessori philosophy. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Montessori Early Childhood Lead Teacher to join our Small World family for the 2025-26 school year.
Position Overview:
The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a high-quality, developmentally appropriate Montessori learning environment for children aged 3–6 years. The ideal candidate will be a certified Montessori teacher with a deep understanding of child development and a commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain an authentic Montessori environment
Guide children through their individual learning journeys using Montessori materials
Observe, assess, and document student progress
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and nurturing classroom community
Communicate regularly with families regarding student development
Collaborate with assistant teachers and administrative staff
Maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards
Qualifications:
AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Montessori Early Childhood certification (ages 3–6)
Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
Experience in a Montessori classroom preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Commitment to the Montessori philosophy and child-centered learning
Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully within a team environment
