Job Description

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old
  • Must meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements
  • Flexible and willing to work within business hours
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
  • Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher is required
  • Classroom management skills are preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the team to foster a positive learning environment aligned with Cadence Education's philosophy
  • Document and communicate children's milestones to parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula
  • Respect and observe children's interests, ensuring safety, and enhancing play with language, toys, and activities
  • Model and encourage appropriate social behaviors
  • Plan daily activities that balance quiet and active, indoor and outdoor, fine and gross motor activities
