Job Description: Early Childhood Teacher at Woodinville Montessori School

At Woodinville Montessori School (WMS), we believe in more than just education; we believe in nurturing the whole child and fostering a lifelong love of learning. Since 1983, our mission has been to empower students from Toddler through High School with a holistic Montessori education emphasizing independence, empathy, self-advocacy, and flexibility. Our campuses in Bothell and Woodinville, WA, serve a diverse community of lifelong learners, and we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team.

The Early Childhood Teacher will provide instruction and supervision over the classroom community of children ages 2 to 6 years. Throughout the school year, the teacher will work with the Early Childhood Program Director to ensure students have the tools and time to engage in their work, build a cohesive community, and develop their love of learning. The Woodinville campus is located two blocks south of downtown Woodinville, off State route 202.

This full-time, academic year position starts August 19, 2025, with hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend flexibility.

Ideal Candidate
  • Possesses keen awareness of the functioning of the whole classroom while attending to individual and small group needs.
  • Is committed to excellent communication with students, families, staff, and school leadership.
  • Has experience teaching in a Montessori setting with age-appropriate curriculum delivery that elicits engaged responses.
  • Exhibits strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Has a deep understanding of current research in human development and learning supporting Montessori education.
  • Contributes positively to the school community through collaboration and a can-do attitude.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; master's preferred.
  • MACTE accredited Early Childhood Certification required; AMS Certificate preferred.
  • At least three years of experience as a Lead in an Early Childhood classroom.
  • Understanding and commitment to Montessori Philosophy.
  • Dedication to professional development and best practices in education.
  • Commitment to meeting each student's needs.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range is $54,000 - $75,000 per year, based on education, training, and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, Long-Term Disability, life insurance, paid time off, 403b retirement plan, and professional development allowance.
