The Minnesota Jewish Community Center in St. Paul is seeking an Early Childhood Float Teacher for HaLev Early Childhood at the J.

We are a mission‑driven, family‑focused program seeking warm, patient, flexible educators with experience caring for young children. In this role you will nurture development by fostering independence, building vocabulary, supporting a strong sense of self and safety, and collaborating with assistants and families in a caring team.

Qualifications

• College degree or credits in Early Childhood Education or an ECE related field, or a CDA, plus 2 years of experience with young children.
• Understanding of The Creative Curriculum and how to implement it in the classroom.
• Knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions, or willingness to learn.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, environmental stewardship, and social justice.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care reflecting the Minnesota JCC mission and values.
• Support each child’s development by fostering independence and building vocabulary.
• Meet daily needs including caregiving activities; maintain a safe, clean classroom environment.
• Collaborate with assistants and aides to create a positive, supportive space.
• Communicate with families about activity, growth, and development; conduct parent conferences.
