Lake Superior YMCA is seeking a Full-Time Child Care Provider - Teacher in Superior, WI. The Teacher will deliver high-quality early education programs in a safe, nurturing setting while overseeing classroom activities and aligning with Wisconsin licensing requirements.

The role involves instructional leadership, curriculum development, and collaboration with families and staff to support children’s social, emotional, and physical development.

Qualifications

• Successfully meet the Wisconsin Child Care Teacher qualifications.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required or provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all federal, state, local Y requirements comply and are followed.
• Supervises children, classroom, and all activities in the Center.
• Develops and implements daily lesson plans meeting developmental needs of children.
• Instructs and supervises preschool or school age children in social and developmental activities.
• Serves nutritious meals and teaches proper eating habits and manners.
• Assesses children's growth and shares reports with families twice per year.
• Maintains classroom equipment and supplies; inventories materials.
• Participates in family nights, staff meetings, and ongoing training.
• Maintains inclusive environment and supports equity and diversity.
