Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks an Early Childhood Education Instructor to facilitate inclusive preschool learning for ages 3 to 5½. You will plan and implement instruction, monitor progress, support IEP goals, and communicate with families and district staff.

Daily duties include classroom prep, record keeping, meetings with special educators, supervising para-educators, and ensuring safe, developmentally appropriate activities in a collaborative preschool setting.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• One (1) year of early childhood education/preschool teacher or educational assistant experience.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.
• Colorado Department of Human Services Early Childhood Teacher qualification (verification letter required).
• First Aid/CPR certification or completion of an introduction class to First Aid/CPR.
• Colorado Shines PDIS registered.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor each student’s educational program. Supervise students in the classroom and facilitate group activities.
• Supervise para-educators in the classroom and support professional growth opportunities.
• Attend IEP meetings and support students’ goals with educators—coordinate activities.
• Prepare class materials, maintain records, and communicate student progress to families.
• Oversee daily attendance, progress notes, and classroom safety and sanitation practices.
• Write student progress reports and conduct parent conferences.
• Complete required data collection and reporting for state checkpoints.
• Purchase classroom supplies and participate in professional development trainings.
