Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge in Roswell, GA is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to support children with disabilities within Head Start programs. You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, monitor safety, and collaborate with families and partners to promote healthy development.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, plus experience with diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in early childhood education or equivalent coursework with teaching experience
• Experience with children with disabilities and collaboration with community partners
• Ability to respond sensitively to diverse populations
• Maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor
• Complete health examination and screenings as required by policy
• Pass a criminal background check and driving history check
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and engage with children
• Travel up to 50% for conferences/meetings and attend events as needed

Responsibilities

• Ensure child safety and supervision at all times
• Provide coaching and evaluation of teaching in an organized learning environment
• Monitor classroom environment and implement curricula for language, literacy, math, science, social studies, arts, and physical development
• Monitor positive adult-child interactions using CLASS: Pre-K instrument
• Implement tools for screenings and ongoing developmental progress assessment
• Engage parents and families through conferences and group activities
• Adhere to program policies and incident reporting timelines
• Organize child files and documentation and ensure compliance
• Schedule regular communication with teaching staff about routines and progress
• Complete all required child screenings and assessments on time
• Monitor learning environments for hazards
• Evaluate curricula, equipment, and space for indoor/outdoor learning
• Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and external service providers
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of operations
• Participate in school functions and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
