Job summary

YMCA Central New Mexico in Santa Fe, NM seeks an Early Childhood Director to develop, organize and implement high-quality child care programs. You will lead the team, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with state regulations while building partnerships in the community.

Responsibilities include representing the Association’s vision, managing partnerships, and delivering staff training to maintain program excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs.
• Completion of state-specific hiring standards and YMCA program certifications (list).
• Travel and visit sites and attend meetings.
• Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include CPR/First Aid/AED and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Represent and articulate the Association’s Early Childhood vision, mission and program to individuals, business and communities.
• Develop and maintain YMCA relationships and partnerships with communities served by the Association.
• Supervise Early Childhood program teams and provide directions, leadership and training.
• Assist in development and implementation of Early Childhood communication and marketing plans with Site Coordinators.
• Lead staff training and development; ensure high quality, standardized practices.
• Ensure programs operate within state regulations and safety procedures.
