Job summary

YMCA of Delaware Early Learning Academy (ELA) in downtown Wilmington seeks a Director of Youth Development (Early Childhood Education) to lead all ECE programs at the ELA site. The role oversees licensure, curriculum implementation, staff coaching, and program coordination in a dynamic community setting.

Responsibilities include recruitment, training, registrations and billing coordination, with a focus on Delaware Stars and NAEYC/ACA accreditation progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum AA in Early Childhood Education and/or CDA with at least 3 years in a director role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Ensure annual licensure of all program sites and compliance with state regulations.
• Direct and coordinate all early childhood education programs at the location, including curriculum implementation and staff coaching.
• Support Recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of personnel and volunteers.
• Coordinate registrations, billing, and program transitions with relevant departments.
• Ensure Delaware Stars, NAEYC Accreditation and ACA Accreditation progress and maintenance.
