Job summary

The Family Tree, Inc. seeks a dedicated Child Development Specialist for its Family Resource Center in Baltimore.

You will oversee health, safety and development for infants and toddlers, planning developmentally appropriate activities and documenting progress with a focus on family-centered support. You will collaborate with Center staff, participate in trainings, and mentor team members while engaging parents.

Qualifications

Master's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development or related field accepted.
Minimum 1 year supervisory experience with young children.

Responsibilities

Oversee health, safety and well-being of all children.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate program for infants and toddlers, including screenings and development of classroom plans.
Demonstrate sound teaching practices and knowledge of child growth and development.
Participate in program staff meetings and trainings.
Report to Center Director on Child Development Program and other responsibilities.
Function as a member of the Center program management team.
Provide parents with information and support in their parenting role.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs and to get up/down off the floor.
Complete all required paperwork.
