Job summary

Nordic Center in Felch, Michigan, seeks a Head Start/GSR Assistant Classroom Coordinator for the 2026-27 year. Wage is based on the ESP II Master Agreement pay scale. Position located at the North Dickinson Early Childhood Center, with duties sharing classroom coordination and family partnership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CDA within two years of hire.
• AA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or equivalent.
• CDA credential or meet Michigan Great Start requirements within timeline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom operations and support lead coordinator.
• Implement High/Scope Curriculum under guidance of the Lead Coordinator.
• Maintain child and family records with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings to develop skills.
• Supervise children and volunteers; participate in field trips as needed.
