Job summary

Child & Family in Rhode Island is seeking staff to promote development and well-being of children through family-centered childcare and play-based learning. You will assist the Teacher in the classroom and help maintain a safe, inviting environment while supporting curriculum planning and daily activities.

The role requires Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as completing background checks and medical clearances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a Childcare setting preferred
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills
• Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population
• Collaboration and teamwork
• The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in the classroom
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, stimulating environment
• Develop plans which meet the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of each child
• Assist in curriculum planning; help implement the monthly curriculum
• Oversee children’s activities interacting with groups and individuals
• Assist in daily activities based on individual assessments
