Tri-County Community Action Agency in North Providence, RI, is seeking a State Pre-K Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher in delivering a preschool curriculum for children aged 3-5. The role emphasizes creating a safe, healthy learning environment and promoting school readiness.

You will plan activities aligned to developmentally appropriate practices, complete education paperwork, conduct observations, and engage families to support ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Preschool CDA.
• Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.
• Experience building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ability to plan and observe developmental progress and engage families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the State Pre-K Lead Teacher in implementing a preschool curriculum for children aged 3-5.
• Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment for children.
• Plan according to individual needs, conduct developmental assessments, and document data in the web-based data management system.
• Observe children daily and promote family engagement to support school readiness.
