Job summary

Centro de la Familia de Utah in Colorado is seeking a dedicated Behavior Assistant to support young children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development within a nurturing learning environment. You will work with a Behavior Specialist to implement strategies and track progress.

Responsibilities include staff training, maintaining documentation, and ensuring program-wide practices are applied consistently. Some evenings/weekends and travel to centers may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• RBT Certification or ability to earn within four weeks
• Experience with young children (0-5) in educational or mental health settings
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Criminal history/background/sex offender registry check
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Behavior Specialist to implement program-wide and child-specific strategies and procedures
• Use reflective practices to support teachers in implementation
• Maintain accurate documentation of mental health services for children
• Provide training on program-wide and child-specific strategies and procedures
• Complete a minimum of 15 clock hours of professional development per year
• Occasionally travel to centers throughout the service area and evenings/weekends as required
