Job summary

GO KIDS INC is seeking an Associate Teacher for our Paseo site in San Jose, CA. This full-time role runs 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Pay range is $21.42–$25.71 per hour with health benefits included.

The position focuses on supervising and educating children, planning curriculum, and supporting teachers while ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment. Requires a high school diploma, 12 ECE units, and an Associate Teacher Permit, plus CPR/First Aid and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 12 ECE units in core courses and minimum classroom experience.
• Associate Teacher Child Center Permit required; fingerprint and criminal clearance needed.
• Current CPR and first aid certification required; California driver's license preferred.
• Bilingual an asset.

Responsibilities

• Relate to all children in encouraging and positive ways.
• Supervise children in indoor and outdoor activities ensuring a safe environment.
• Supervise meals and snack times; encourage healthy eating habits.
• Supervise daily activities such as toilet use, hand/face washing and brushing teeth.
• Assist in teaching children to become responsible for their decisions and actions.
• Interact with children, teaching arts, crafts, games, and group activities.
• Guide children’s behaviors in a positive way.
• Encourage children to interact positively with others.
• Provide age-appropriate activities that support growth.
