Job summary

YMCA of Muncie is seeking an Associate Teacher for Mitchell Early Childhood and Family Center to support developmentally appropriate activities fostering social, emotional, physical, intellectual and creative growth. You will work with the Lead Teacher to implement an emergent, Reggio Emilia–inspired curriculum that aligns with Indiana foundations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in ECE/Child Development is required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications must be current.
• Must relate well to diverse families and communities.
• 1–3 years of experience with children in licensed centers preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the learning environment.
• Assist Lead Teacher with emergent, Reggio Emilia–inspired curriculum.
• Assist with documentation, licensing, and quality requirements.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings; support program activities.
