SEK-CAP, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Teacher to collaborate with staff to deliver developmentally appropriate early childhood services for children and families.

You will assist in classroom activities, support Center operations, and step in as Lead Teacher when needed, ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and state guidelines. The role emphasizes nurturing, language development, social-emotional support, and family engagement through home visits and conferences.

Qualifications

• Preschool CDA credential or equivalent; pursuing/holding
• 3-5 years of experience with young children preferred
• Be eligible for KDHE program approval; valid driver’s license and clean background check

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom operations and promote Head Start standards
• Engage families through home visits and conferences
• Enter data in agency-approved system accurately
• Support Lead Teacher when needed and cover as assigned
• Follow health, safety and emergency procedures
