The Learning Experience in Hackensack, NJ is seeking Assistant Teachers to support classrooms for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. You will partner with lead teachers, implement our L.E.A.P.

Curriculum, ensure safety, communicate with families, and help drive enrollment and engagement. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (ECE coursework preferred), 18+ years old, and a passion for early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Educational background: High School Diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
• Minimum age: At least 18 years old.
• Experience: Prior childcare experience or a passion for early childhood education is preferred.
• State compliance: Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
• Immunizations, employment physicals, and health and safety training required.

Responsibilities

• Lead alongside teachers to create a welcoming, stimulating classroom space.
• Assist with implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum and adapt activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Maintain safety and ensure a nurturing environment for all children.
• Communicate with families about progress and milestones via apps and in-person conversations.
• Collaborate with center staff to support retention, enrollment, and engagement goals.
• Build warm relationships with families and staff to support learning through play.
