Job summary

The Learning Experience in Tucson, AZ is seeking enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join our early childhood education team. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where infants to preschoolers learn through play, under the guidance of lead teachers and center leadership.

Responsibilities include supporting curriculum delivery, maintaining classroom safety, communicating with families about progress, and collaborating with staff to drive enrollment and retention.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in childcare or a demonstrable passion for early childhood education preferred.
• Meet state-specific guidelines and immunization/health training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Leadership: partner with teachers to create a welcoming space for learning and play.
• Curriculum Implementation: support the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® for infants to preschoolers.
• Safety First: maintain a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
• Family Communication: update parents on progress via apps and in-person discussions.
• Center Collaboration: work with staff to drive retention, enrollment, and engagement.
• Relationship Builder: foster warm relationships with families and colleagues.
