Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will support young learners alongside the Lead Teacher, fostering curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth through hands-on activities, storytelling, and daily moments.

You will partner with families, serve as a positive role model, and contribute to a nurturing, safe, and engaging early childhood education environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and safety focus.
• Strong communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom meeting licensing and ratio needs.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
