St. John's Lutheran Ministries, Inc. DBA St. John's United is seeking a Child Care Provider I Assistant Teacher to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate care within the Center for Generations.

You will support young children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development while upholding the mission and safety standards of St. John’s United. You will work under the Director of Early Childhood Development, participate in staff trainings, and collaborate with Lead Teachers

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or HiSet.
• Must have a genuine love for children.
• Must be knowledgeable about child development and State of Montana Licensing Regulations.
• Must be trained in child and infant CPR and 1st Aid, or obtain certification within a reasonable amount of time after date of hire.
• Must follow Practitioner Registry requirements regarding trainings and maintain current status.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct child care in a developmentally appropriate setting to promote the Center's Mission.
• Comply with all St. John’s United policies, state and federal laws, and health and safety standards.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Identify supplies and equipment needs and keep the facility clean and in good repair.
• Provide effective classroom management and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers on lesson plans and curriculum guides.
• Maintain a positive classroom schedule and adapt plans to meet children's needs.
• Foster physical, cognitive, communication, and social-emotional development.
• Support Eden Alternative tasks.
