    GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Principal, in conjunction with the Principal, is responsible for total oversight and daily operation of the Middletown Preschool Programs.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A minimum of a master's degree.
    • Valid Ohio Administrator license or ability to obtain.
    • Minimum of three (3) years’ of exemplary teaching experience in a special education setting preferred.
    • Good written and verbal communications skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability.
    • Able to use a variety of communication methods to build relationships.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Able to use technology to effectively manage data and information.
    • Valid driver’s license and daily access to personal vehicle.
    • History of excellent job attendance.
    • Must pass required criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

    EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
