Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to help run a child care school with a focus on safety, development, and community engagement.

You will work with the School Director to ensure smooth daily operations and foster a nurturing environment for children and families. The role requires leadership experience, compliance with Minnesota qualifications, and a commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have leadership experience and at least 1 year in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and center requirements; one of the Minnesota lead teacher qualification pathways.

In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

  Minimum Minnesota Qualification Requirement: Candidates must meet at least ONE of the following Minnesota Lead Teacher qualification pathways to be considered for this Assistant Director role:

• 4,160 hours as an Assistant Teacher AND 24 quarter credits
• Association Montessori Internationale diploma, preprimary credential, primary diploma, or provisional certificate from the American Montessori Society AND 2,080 hours as an Assistant Teacher, Aide, or Student Intern + 12 quarter credits
• Preprimary credential, primary diploma, or provisional certificate from the American Montessori Society, or Association Montessori Internationale diploma with a baccalaureate degree AND 1,040 hours as an Assistant Teacher, Aide, or Student Intern
• Minnesota Technical Institute certificate as a Child Development Assistant AND 2,080 hours as an Assistant Teacher, Aide, or Student Intern + 6 quarter credits
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for preschool or infants/toddlers AND 1,560 hours as an Assistant Teacher, Aide, or Student Intern
• Minnesota Department of Education license for Prekindergarten Associate, or a two-year child development/early childhood certificate from an accredited community or technical college AND 1,040 hours as an Assistant Teacher, Aide, or Student Intern + 6 quarter credits

Compensation/Benefit:

• Compensation $26.66/ starting hourly rate salary on Position, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options.
