Job summary

HCSC invites you to join a ten-week paid Project Management Internship in Chicago, IL. You will work with cross-functional teams, support project work, analyze data, and develop solutions aligned with business objectives while learning enterprise processes and HIPAA compliance.

You'll gain hands-on experience in project coordination, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration under a mentor, preparing a final presentation for department leadership. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising senior in project management, computer science, IT, or business.
• Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full duration of the 10-week program.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
• Prior internship experience is a plus; leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience in project coordination/management and stakeholder management is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager with managing projects and subprojects; under guidance.
• Assist in developing project deliverables including plans, schedules, and status reports.
• Facilitate and prepare meetings; document minutes; track actions and distribute documents.
• Provide project management support under the PMO supervisor or manager.
• Help manage financials and resources using Project Portfolio Management Software.
• Prior internship/leadership experience is a plus; strong collaboration expected.

What Are Your Responsibilities?

Project Management Interns are responsible for actively participating in HCSC’s formal internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge, and capabilities while providing meaningful experience supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams in both business and technical areas, the Project Management Intern will contribute to project work, analyze information, and support the development of solutions that address organizational needs. The Project Management Intern is responsible for learning and applying specific aspects of the organization's processes, programs, and technologies while demonstrating increasing independence and ownership of assigned deliverables.

This role will also need to:

• Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.

• Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations that informreal businessdecisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Support departmental initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience.

• Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results, and recommendations.

• Maintain complete confidentiality of company business andcomply withHIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.

What Do You Need To Be Successful?

• Assist project manager with managing projects and subprojects/work effort

• Assist in developing project deliverables including project plans, schedules, and status reports

• Help to facilitate and prepare meetings by scheduling and coordinating agendas and materials, documenting meeting minutes, following up on action items, gathering, organizing, and distributing project-related documentation.

• Will be responsible for providing project management support under the supervision of the PMO supervisor or manager.

• Help to manage financials and resources utilizing the Project Portfolio Management Software.

• Prior internship experience is a plus

• Leadership experience is a plus

• Experience with project coordination/management and stakeholder management is a strong plus

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills is a strong plus

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication

• Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising senior with a major in project management, computer science, IT, or business. Other majors may be considered.

• Graduation date between December2027and June 2028

• Minimumcumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.

• Available for the full duration of the10-weekprogram.

• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.
