  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising senior with a major in finance, accounting, or audit. Other majors may be considered.
  • Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Available for the full duration of the 10-week program.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with claim accuracy audits and performance tracking for ASO clients.
  • Prepare monthly reports of potential error findings and present to internal partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of contracts, coding schemes, COB procedures, pricing, and provider files.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with internal business partners in Claims and Customer Service.
  • Deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership.

What Are Your Responsibilities?

The Audit Specialist Intern responsibilities may include assisting with claim accuracy audits and performance tracking of Administrative Services Only (ASO) Clients. This role will also require accurate reporting of monthly potential error findings for analysis and rebuttal with internal business partners that support claims and customer service to contribute to ensuring department, divisional and corporate objectives are met.The Audit Specialist Intern will need to maintain knowledge of contracts, coding schemes, system applications, COB procedures, pricing and provider files, and managed care principles and develop and maintain rapport with internal business partners that support Claims and Customer Service.

This role will also need to:

  • Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.
  • Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations that informreal businessdecisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support departmental initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience.
  • Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results, and recommendations.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business andcomply withHIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

  • Knowledge of medical claims auditing experience is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with BlueChip claims processing is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of quality review processes is a strong plus.
  • Ability to analyze problem claims is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to independently plan, design and execute on assigned projects.
  • Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word,PowerPoint, Outlook,and virtual team collaboration tools.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
