HCSC invites motivated students to join our 10-week paid internship, located in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX. You will work with the accounting team to build practical skills and gain exposure to financial operations and modern finance tools.

Under mentorship, you’ll analyze GAAP-based statements, support due diligence for potential investments or M&A, present findings to leadership, and uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with corporate policies.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a projected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and unrestricted US work authorization (sponsorship not available).
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

This 10-week paid internship can be located either in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX

What Are Your Responsibilities?

The successful candidate for this position will work closely with accounting team members to assist in preparing and analyzing GAAP-basis financial statements, research and document statutory and GAAP accounting positions and document and support financial due diligence work surrounding potential company investments or M&A transactions. This role will also require the candidate to maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested by the team. In addition, the candidate will gain exposure to financial operations along with automation tools and financial technologies used by the finance team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

This role will also need to:

• Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.
• Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations that informreal businessdecisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support departmental initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience.
• Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results, and recommendations.
• Maintain complete confidentiality of company business andcomply withHIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

• Prior related internship or work experience is a pluss
• Volunteerism or leadership experience is a plus
• Involvement in related Associations/Organizations is a plus
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical skills
• Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
• Experience with technology is also a preference.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising senior with a major in accounting, finance, or a business-related field. Other majors may be considered.
• Graduation date between December2027and June 2028
• Minimumcumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full duration of the10-weekprogram.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Compensation: $19.13 - $34.17
