• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Job Summary

What Are Your Responsibilities?

The Associate Intern is responsible for actively participating in HCSC’s formal internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge, and capabilities while providing exposure to healthcare, business operations, and professional work environments. Working closely with team members and mentors, the Associate Intern will learn key processes, programs, and technologies while supporting departmental projects and initiatives. Through hands-on experience, professional development opportunities, and cross-functional collaboration, the Associate Intern will build foundational business and technical skills that support future career success.

This role will also need to:

• Support day-to-day team activities and contribute to research, data gathering, and light analysis under close mentor guidance.
• Contribute to a defined summer project with structured milestones, regular mentor check-ins, and manager feedback.
• Attend intern orientation, professional development workshops, and networking events designed for early-career exploration.
• Comply withHIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
• Interest in a career in Actuarial Science
• Strong analytical skills
• Practical, developed technical skills, especially Excel and VBA

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

• Currently pursuing aBachelor'sdegree;rising juniorconsidering a major in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer science or economics. Other majors may be considered.
• Graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029
• Minimumcumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full duration of the paid summer program.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity,strong communicationskills, and a collaborative, learning-oriented mindset.
• Workingproficiencywith Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general comfort with virtual collaboration tools.
