Job summary

HCSC Group invites applications for a ten-week actuarial internship in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX. You will support management and actuarial students with modeling, data gathering, and reporting, while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a related bachelor’s degree, aiming to complete ASA by graduation, with strong Excel/SQL/VBA skills and a GPA of 3.0+. Sponsorship is not available; program includes orientation, projects, networking, and workshops.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; rising senior in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer science or economics.
• Completion of or plans to complete 1 ASA exam by graduation.
• Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full 10-week duration.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with modeling, data gathering, and data preparation for reports.
• Support design and maintenance of databases and generation of internal/external reports.
• Own components of project work with mentor guidance and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business outcomes.
• Deliver a final internship presentation to leadership with results and recommendations.
