Job summary

The Health Care Service Corporation is seeking a Staff Actuary to apply statistics, mathematics, and actuarial principles to assess the impact of company decisions. You will work with pricing, reserving, forecasting, and related actuarial functions with autonomy on daily tasks.

Hybrid role with in-office requirement of 3 days per week; visa sponsorship is not available. You will communicate complex analyses to diverse audiences and contribute to small projects within the Actuarial department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
• ASA designation and MAAA membership.
• At least 3 years of actuarial experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assess impact of company decisions using actuarial methods and data.
• Conduct pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, and forecasting tasks.
• Communicate complex analyses to varied audiences.
• Manage small actuarial projects with limited cross‑functional interaction.

They have an in-depth knowledge of at least one market or business segment and operate with a high level of autonomy for daily purposes of pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions. This position can communicate complicated concepts, information, and recommendations regarding process, data, analysis, and results, while catering information to different audiences as needed. As necessary, position manages small projects with limited interaction outside Actuarial department### **Required Job Qualifications:** \* Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
