Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an Associate Underwriter for its Early Career Program in Los Angeles. The one-year Underwriting Track provides on-the-job training and industry certifications, with a pathway to growth within underwriting.

The role involves marketing Arch products to brokers, underwriting, pricing, and servicing accounts under guidance, with a structured development plan and formal training schedule beginning in 2027.

Qualifications

• Recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance & Risk Management, Business, Liberal Arts, Communications, Psychology, Finance, or relevant degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical, with keen ability to think through issues.
• Proactive; able to organize and prioritize to meet multiple demands and commitments.
• Strong work ethic; team player; exhibits leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Marketing Arch products and services to wholesale and retail brokers
• Underwriting and pricing products, including: Financial analysis; Exposure analysis; Policy contract review and rating; Claims review
• Binding new and renewal accounts according to our underwriting philosophy and strategy
• Servicing our brokers and customers
