Job summary

Acuity is seeking an entry-level Supply Chain Distribution Specialist for its BUILD program, with rotations across distribution, engineering improvement, and focused factory projects. The role is in-person at Des Plaines, IL or Conyers, GA, with mentoring from a Supply Chain leader.

The program emphasizes hands-on experience, broad business exposure, and development of professional skills over two years. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Less than two years of related work experience preferred; demonstrated interest in process improvement, continuous improvement, or operational excellence through coursework, projects, or internships is preferred.
• Availability to travel based on business needs (up to 20%).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate operational data and recommend improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes; collaborative and team-oriented with a drive to take the initiative (bonus).

Responsibilities

• Distribution Planning: Engage in projects related to distribution planning, requiring on-site presence or travel as needed.
• BSF Engineering & Continuous Improvement: Work on initiatives focused on BSF engineering and continuous improvement within an Acuity facility.
• Focused Factory: Contribute to projects and operations within a focused factory setting at an Acuity facility.
• Trade Compliance Operations: Gain exposure to and learn about trade compliance operations.
• Customer Experience: Participate in activities and initiatives related to customer experience.
