Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking early-career talent for its BUILD program, a two-year rotational experience designed to develop high-potential professionals through six-month placements in diverse manufacturing and operations areas.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, leadership development, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is based on-site in Crawfordsville, IN with potential temporary relocations to other Acuity sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Interest in an operations career path and willingness to work on site in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated operational problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, inventory management, or production scheduling through coursework, internships, or project experience is preferred.
• Ability to use data to monitor operational performance and balance service, cost, inventory, and quality objectives.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to ERP or digital manufacturing systems, such as Oracle is preferred.
• Leadership experience demonstrating initiative, sound decision-making, teamwork, and the ability to influence people, processes, or change.
• Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%, is required.
• Less than two years of related professional work experience is highly preferred.
