Job summary

Actalent seeks an early‑career Electrical Engineer to join a high‑impact team working on RF sensors and undersea defense systems. You will perform hands‑on testing, analyze data, and help sustain complex hardware from lab to field environments.

You will collaborate with engineers on antennas, amplifiers, and cables, contribute to technical documentation, and communicate findings to technical and government customers. On‑site work in Middletown, RI is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance, including eligibility to start with an Interim Secret.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration in a multidisciplinary team.
• Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving for RF and electronics hardware.
• Willingness to learn new systems and defense-related technologies.
• Must be able to work onsite in a laboratory and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply design, testing, production, and sustainment processes for RF and electrical sensor systems.
• Perform hands-on testing of amplifiers, antennas, cables, and electronic hardware.
• Analyze electrical and RF performance data against requirements.
• Support troubleshooting for production hardware and fielded systems.
• Review drawings, documentation, and test procedures to deepen system knowledge.
• Evaluate obsolescence and identify form-fit-function replacements with vendor input.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support bench, lab, shipyard, and waterfront testing activities.
• Collaborate with teams to identify deficiencies and improve performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and reports.
• Present findings to internal teams and customers.
• Use engineering data tools to interpret results for decisions.
