Sargent & Lundy is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics within power plant projects. You will prepare calculations, specifications, and technical reports to support client recommendations and conduct equipment sizing, optimization, and selection as project needs.

Essential qualifications include a BS or MS in engineering and strong communication skills. Travel to client sites and vendor offices may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, General, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and energy conversion.
• Experience with mechanical design and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and power plant engineering.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and technical reports for client recommendations.
• Conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluation, and selection for project needs.
• Support project teams with system engineering and plant site coordination.
