Job summary

Required is a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 1+ year of experience. EIT preferred; PE encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
• EIT registration strongly preferred; PE preferred upon eligibility.
• Knowledge of piping materials, piping supports, valve sizing and safety valves.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design of less complex engineering assignments under close supervision.
• Assist in the design of larger and more complex mechanical engineering tasks.
• Assist in stress analysis, construction specs, material procurement specs, piping estimates.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce estimate-level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Produce detailed design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
• Assist drafting group with layout and detailing problems; review vendor drawings.
