Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Component Engineer in the Interconnect Technologies Department. The role focuses on the design, development, and qualification of complex cables and interconnect components for high-consequence applications.

You will work with design and systems engineers to meet stringent requirements across the program life cycle. On-site work with some travel is required; candidates must be able to obtain DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical solutions to cable assemblies and interconnect challenges in complex systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of design, system, quality engineers, and SMEs.
• Design and develop adapter cables and fixtures for electrical/environmental test applications.
• Coordinate with system engineers to establish component-level requirements and drive resolution with customers.
