Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Component Engineer in the Interconnect Technologies Department to design, develop, and qualify complex cables and interconnect components for high-consequence applications. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet system-level requirements, develop electrical acceptance criteria, and ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Experience with cable assemblies and interconnects preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement electrical solutions for cable assemblies and interconnects.
• Collaborate with design, systems, quality, and SME teams on mission-critical designs.
• Define electrical parameters to meet system-level requirements across life environments.
• Provide electrical evaluation and analysis on large datasets and test results.
• Write technical reports, perform cost estimates, and present results to stakeholders.
