Job summary

Battelle is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Early Career) for the Ground Systems group in National Security, 100% on-site in Hilliard, OH. The role designs, tests, and integrates new mechanical systems, and supports maintenance of existing hardware within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling (SolidWorks/Creo), GD&T, and rigorous documentation. Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 0–2 years experience, and US citizenship with ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
0–2 years experience through related internship or class projects.
US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, test, and integrate mechanical components and systems.
Apply fundamental engineering principles across mechanics, dynamics, and thermodynamics.
Create and interpret CAD drawings and GD&T packages.
Collaborate with clients and contractors to define system requirements.
Document test plans, reports, and manuals.
