Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking an Early Career Sales Representative to develop new business and manage assigned accounts in the small-to-medium segment. The role emphasizes inside sales with a path to outside sales within 12-14 months, coordinating with corporate and plant teams to secure orders and resolve issues.

Candidates will use remote communication channels to expand the customer base and apply Sales Excellence methodologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of B2B inside sales or related experience preferred.
• Experience in fiber-based packaging industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Ability to manage full book of assigned accounts spanning multiple business units.
• Ability to develop and qualify opportunities, present solutions, negotiate and close over phone & videoconference.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage/grow assigned customer accounts in small-to-medium segment.
• Coordinate orders, secure new business, and resolve account issues with internal teams.
• Build deep rapport with customers to understand their business challenges.
• Meet targets for volume and margin, including cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to team goals.
