Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (geotechnical focus) is required.
• Master's or PhD in geotechnical engineering is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice.
• Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
• Experience with geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, SLIDE and PLAXIS is preferred.
• Experience with Python programming is preferred.
• Regular field work and overnight travel is required.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing are required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with satisfactory driving record for business travel is required.

Aufgaben

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations.
• Perform and review engineering calculations.
• Develop, install, and manage instrumentation and monitoring systems.
• Develop construction documents.
• Monitor heavy civil construction projects.
• Write and review engineering reports.
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to project sites and offices, as needed.
