Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical preferred) or Geological Engineering.
• Master's or PhD in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Internship or work experience in engineering consulting preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice.
• Excellent writing and communication skills required.
• Regular field work and overnight travel required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and driving record for business travel required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations and site characterizations.
• Conduct fieldwork with instrumentation and monitoring projects.
• Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
• Perform and review engineering calculations.
• Develop construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Write and review technical reports, letters, memoranda, and proposals.
• Monitor heavy civil construction projects; travel as needed.
