Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer for our Hamilton, NJ office, starting in Summer 2027. You will support the Property & Buildings team on due diligence, design, development, and construction for utility, industrial, and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include assisting with substation design, wiring diagrams, and documentation, under general supervision, while growing technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 0 to 1 year of relevant post-education experience.
• Familiarity with electrical design for large capital projects.
• Proficient in technical writing and office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of single line and three-line diagrams, layout and bus arrangement.
• Generate documentation using drawings and field notes with accuracy.
• Perform electrical calculations for loads, sizing, grounding, and lighting.
• Support site verification, testing, and construction procedures under supervision.
