WSP is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer (Substation) in Lake Oswego, OR to support design and analysis for utility-scale projects. You will assist in data collection, drawings, and calculations under supervision within the Power and Energy team.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and strong communication and writing skills, with familiarity in AutoCAD or MicroStation and a safety-focused mindset. This is an on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0 to 1 year of post-education experience.
• Familiarity with electrical design standards and regulations.
• Ability to draft and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting and analyzing data for substation components and procurement packages.
• Support design work for single line and bus arrangements, grounding, and protection systems.
• Contribute to electrical calculations, layouts, and equipment sizing.
• Prepare accurate documentation using electronic systems and site logs.
• Follow safety guidelines and project-specific procedures.
